When we first started developing K9ERP, we asked our customers, potential customers and anyone else we could find what they found most frustrating with the accounting and ERP software packages on the market.  One of the top responses had to do with custom report creation.  For most it was a pain to have to submit a request, wait a week (or sometimes longer), then often receive something that still was not exactly what they needed.  On top of all that, there is usually a programming charge involved.

We thought that was crazy.  First of all, they are already paying for the software that held their data, then they have to jump through hoops to get that data in a format that made sense for their company.

While, yes, we do have many standard reports already built in, we know that is not always good enough.
